Windows Live Essentials Error

Hi

can I pick someones brain please.

Microsoft update asked to install live essentials, so as always I install all updates.

It failed and messenger disappeared.

Ive now tried about ten times, and it just wont install.

Tried uninstalling, but that fails too!

Have u restarted it? Might sound like a stupid answer but it did help me this morning after having the same issue with the Live update.

yes restarted it, firewall off, everything I can find online.

There were a few answers on yahoo answers, but they have been deleted, so thinking it may be a ms catastrophe

i know a few people who've had problems with the new version of messenger, normal MS crap. Are you using xp or vista? have you done the rollback to previous working setup?

I had similar problem with this going on for ages, I just use ebuddy.com now

It's vista, and omg I forgot about previous saves. Will roll it back great idea.

I dont actually use messenger myself but you just made me realise I can download an app and use phone as I've been meaning to open a messenger account.
