Now that I have all my aff sites on Wordpress I found myself forever having to go into Admin and update Wordpress or plugins.

On one site this is OK but if you have hundreds it is such a waste of time.

I know you can buy paid for multi-site management services such as ManageWP.com but I found this little beauty yesterday:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/automatic-updater/

It's a plugin that automatically updates WP and plugins or themes (you select which of the 3 you want to update) and sends you an email to let you know each time it did something.

This will be such a time-saver especially if a new WP version comes out due to a security hole or something, all my sites should now update immediately and automatically!

a time saver until a theme or plugin conflicts, leaving you with many multiple sites to fix. ;)

I don't update themes as most of mine are custom.

I still think this will save time over-all as updates are more frequent than plugin clashes plus I now run minimal plugins apart from SEO, Security and stats.

I have this installed.

Just be aware that it doesn't update all plugins (at least on mine it don't) and I still have to log in to update some. Otherwise, works fine.
