You can pick hobby (desktop) 3d printers up from a grand+, i was looking at buying one not that long ago.

I couldn't believe it. The chap said on TV:

" I realise it could harm people, its a gun, thats what it does. But that isnt a reason not to do it."

Thats exactly the reason not to do it. I think Interpol should issue a warrant for his arrest for distributing firearms. Absolutely appalling and typical of the alice-in-wonderland thinking from the USA.
