Would you register .Wales and .Cymru domain names ?

1 day out of 12 years and reg a few .wales and all hell breaks loose

OK guys let's try to get back on track of making some money from our WALES domain registrations, this is getting too personal.

Anyone sold one yet?

(only) 439 domains were grabbed yesterday - not that much out of a supposed 3,000 "Premium" domains held back.

(I do have written permission from Namestat to use his images) see also WALES domain name registration statistics.

I am listing all 193 Sedo listed domains, which is all except the Adult ones which I don't promote.

I've had a support ticket open at 123-reg since yesterday for Christmas.wales

They took my money but didn't register it as apparently it is a Trademark!

For the types of sites we build there isn't much point going after a market of 3 million people when they're already part of the 65 million market covered by .uk

I can see it being more useful for local info and services.

Did .scot get anywhere? With the nationalist fervour these days I'd expect that one to see more uptake

.scot has approx 8.7k regged since end of last summer still very early days. in my opinion it will be years before success of either gtld can be measured as successful or not. Aside from geographic/demographic differences there cant be a reseller market in .scot due to the registration policy.y which states something like
"You will not use Your .scot domain name for the purpose of trafficking in domain names for sale, resale or transfer. Furthermore, You shall not enable, contribute or willingly aid any third party to
achieve the said purpose."

I get it to 803 of the premium releases, something doesn't tally somewhere.

I've just read the terms. They are ludicrous.

It does indeed say "trafficking" - anyone would think you were selling heroin or slaves
