The Welsh are passionately Welsh.

Not many of us are passionately European!

I've regged one domain and I think that'll be the only one for me at €25 a pop, the .cymru of it was already regged, I got RenewableEnergy.wales

Can't believe I'm recommending these guys but 1and1 were about £8

It costs $3500 to send your application, which is non refundable and $4000 a year

I think any organised registrar would gain membership but you would have to be pretty commercial to recoup the yearly fee lol

Much more to it than that. https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/financials-55-2012-02-25-en

For example:

For applicants seeking initial accreditation, demonstration of the ability to procure liquid capital immediately available in the applicant's name at the commencement of the accreditation period in an amount of US$70,000 or more will be deemed adequate, although a lesser amount will be accepted upon a showing that in the circumstances the applicant has adequate liquid working capital.

A couple of credit cards would sort that criteria lol

You could always in any application stipulate how your company would run and at what level, you could get away with very little liquid assets, but is the $3500 NON refundable fee worth the risk lol

I guess you could call a few people like you do with a planning application and make sure its has the green light before applying?

Best to just be a reseller until you manage that many the sums add up to gain membership, same as nominet.

Tiered membership was always on the cards imo, when catching is stopped, that's when more changes will hit.

They only started the wales reseller service for nominet members as they had NO icann members based in Wales

So as to make it all pretty and tick boxed.
