I have registered a bunch of .ws domains, mainly very large cities/areas/counties of the UK and I just wondered what people thought of the .ws extension. I mean its obvious to us domainers that .ws = western samoa, but do you think the enduser/average internet user would be that bothered by the extension, bearing in mind .ws = Web Site could be a possibility ?

Some of the .ws domains I grabbed:

CAMBRIDGESHIRE.WS
GREATERLONDON.WS
HARROGATE.WS
LANCASHIRE.WS
LEEDS.WS
LONDONOLYMPICS2012.WS - a bit naughty this one, I know
MERSEYSIDE.WS
OXFORDSHIRE.WS
YORKSHIRE.WS

Thanks for your time

Personally i dont see anyone typing them in. I know city domains are typed in, but would someone put a .ws on?

IMO most people wouldn't even know the exension existed.

ws domains

I have one,www. lawscot.ws ,as ws after legal name in scotland is a legal term ,writer to signet, so scottish law and ws works in fine
