Not only don't we deport foreign criminals from our shores we are now offering a prison place to a criminal who has commited heinous crimes in another country. I'm referring to Charles Taylor who was recently found guilty of crimes against humanity commited in Sierra Leone. The UK goverment have agreed that he can serve his sentence in the UK, he is not a british Citizen nor were the crimes comitted in the UK.

No doubt by the time he's released (if ever) he'll have a team of lawyers fighting his deportation from the UK.

I wish we had a goverment that would man up and deal with criminals both home grown and imported.

these czechs were supposedly allowed in country as they had no crim record (i'm guessing)
as being in eu they would be allowed to freely enter otherwise as you could go to czech republic if wanted

tbh if deported they wouldn't necessarily serve any sentence there as crime was committed here and then could freely move about europe just by driving and the way our border security is even end up here again, so that's no good for victim
at least she knows is banged up

judge has said they will be deported after sentence, so thats something

my problem is they won't do real hard time

if prisoners did proper time it wouldnt be so bad

also this nonsense where there is drugs in prison and mobile phones, tellies etc is madness
prisoners should meet visitors behind glass screens so no drugs are getting in
anyone like warders smuggling drugs in or when drugs etc are thrown over wall etc, just give them life, then surely it stops?
it's like the authorities just accept it happens

there shouldn't be a single tv set in any prison, or gyms! why let them bulk up

they should be doing hard manual labour and only luxury is books, to educate themselves
