A few points re conversion:

- The title graphic looks great, but I am not a fan of title graphics that take up a lot of page height, because it means less content can be shown before the need to scroll. Space before the need to scroll is the most valuable, use it wisely.

- From a conversion point of view, I would move the Pre-Order Chart Top 5 to be the first thing in the right hand column. That should increase your click through rate.

- On the home page, I would maintain two lists, one the next 5 cinema releases, the other the next 5 DVD releases. Put these right at the top of your content, that shows the site is topical and will maintain interest. Use a small image for each list entry showing either the film poster or DVD cover.

- The search box is too easy to miss. Draw attention to it with a big orange search button or similar.

- Finally, learn to convert with these resources:

Conversion Rate Optimisation

Hope that helps.

I love the tag area, I thought it was just overlapping at first but as soon as I moved the mouse over the area I was very impressed.

I like the design, just agree with the comment about the header, I am currently reducing the height of most of my sites to increase the viewable info.

Leon

thanks :)

im going to be getting my designer to reduce the header after christmas. now that weve been working on it a while there are lots of things about the design ergonomics that i need to change to make it more user friendly etc.

thanks for the feedback though - appreciated!
