Yell churning them out

Looks like YELL are now churning shite out to keep/gaincustomers/gain. YorkshireWindowsDoorsHull.co.uk I've seen dozens like this over the weeks and think their trying their hardest to please customer and even a bit of SEO

Pity about the sites look and lack of images / end user control as it's regg'd under YELL's company not the clients!!

How much do they charge for this rubbish?

I think someone I did a website for has signed up for this...he's supposed to be giving me a call when he gets the paperwork through so I can advise if he is being ripped off or not.

I'd say they must be asking a couple of hundred for it based on what they charge for normal ads.

Their ad prices are eye-watering. For instance, they wanted over 4,000 pounds a year for a plumber to be the top-listed listing in Cambridge for "Plumbers" (just an example I pulled at random). But from their own marketing material, they get about half a million daily visitors to the whole site - so how many visits does that translate to one category (out of thousands) in one town (again, out of thousands)?

Of course, they've got HUGE name recognition, which is why they can charge platinum-plated prices.

Looks like they charge a few hundred including SEO for a few pages without any promotion or good rankings which will actually bring in the targeted visitors
