I'm planning to create a health website where visitors can resgiter and post reviews and rate on different health products. In short, a website to review health products.

What domain name would you suggest? I need a good domain worth to sell if I ever have to. Though I'm not going to sell it any time sooner. The domain should contain good keywords, short and easy to remember. Of course, no hyphen too.

More importantly, I'm going to buy .com domain. Many of them seems to be already taken. So I no longer have any idea on what to choose. Besides .com what about the others like .net, .org, .co.uk, .us, .co for this kind of website? Does it suit or go well with the website?

I can say ratehealthproducts is still available, though I'm not sure about it as it contains 3 words. :(

Looking for immediate help. Priority: Serious

Only serious domainers welcome!

ratehealthproducts is "fine", but very general. If you are targetting a particular type of product you might want to go more niche. Really hard for us to offer an opinion with limited info.

I would go for the .com or perhaps the .co.uk if UK targetted.

Rgds

I'm not targeting a particular product. I'll be adding lots of health products from different categories like weight loss, hair care, women's health, men's health and so on....I'm trying to make a website where people can write reviews on each products so that other pople can see real reviews.

Not UK trageted. Anyway, thanks for the opinion.

Everyone, do let me know if more info is needed. ;)

Short, Sweet and memorable might be best if it is going to be a comprehensive site covering every aspect of the health sector.

I think you should get .com or .net/org if it something like a 1Word premium

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for? Though I can't come up with one. :( Any suggestion?

The site is going to have health products from different categories with a description for each. The visitors can leave reviews for each products and also rate them.

go for as close as possible to an EMD to get a better rank. I imagine health product reviews market is pretty competitve and saturated.

why? Its true. EMDs are not going anywhere, anytime soon. I know because plenty of my clients sites are ranking above competitors and is it coincidence that they are all EMDs?

Just having a bit of fun.

Its true. EMDs are not going anywhere, anytime soon.

Leaving aside any crystal ball readings of the future when Google is changing its mind every couple of weeks, an EMD is either an exact match for a single keyword or phrase, or it is not. You can't get close to an EMD, having bipod.co.uk is not going to rank you for iPod searches.

I know because plenty of my clients sites are ranking above competitors and is it coincidence that they are all EMDs?

There are many coincidences on t'internet. It turns out we are based only a few miles from each other. Coincidence, or rock solid proof that living in South Wales helps our sites rank better?

As I said, just having a bit of fun, it's been a slow day :)

no, but having cheapbipods.co.uk and affordablebipods.co.uk will both rank for - yep - you guessed it - bipods (provided all other seo factors are the same).

And whilst you are right - I cant predict what google will do, however I am confident that google will (for the forseeable future) give domains weight (and the longer they are regged for, the better that weight will be).

But, hey what do I know right? ;) If you are having a slow day, or are bored or something, why not go do some colouring in, or something? Helps me kill hours lol

Hey everyone, I just came up with something good. But that too is taken. That was ehealthreviews.com. Is e-healthreviews.com a good selection as I can't get the the other one?

By the way, check out this Website. How can I create a similar site? What script do they use? I found it when I was trying out domain search and I loved it. :( Can anyone help me? I can't take my eyes off that site. I tried to contact the admin of the site, but no luck. :(
