I've had all the problems.... domains not showing in control panel etc... but I've always been able to resolve these without too much trouble.

Today I register a Domain - all done, invoice received but it doesn't show in the whois as mine. After 15 minutes, give 123 a prod - an hour and 30 mins later it's there. My guess is, if I hadn't acted - it would remain unregistered.

Everything else I can live with - but to register a Domain and then find it's not actually registered to me because of a 123 Reg system problem - I can't.

Sorry 123... I've stuck with it while others have long since gone. Time to move on - bye.

PS... any one notice at the 123 check out it now says it can take 24 hours for the registration process.

It's a sad state of affairs, 1 year ago i would have sworn by them, i stopped reg'ing with them a couple of months ago because of the same problems, They take your money within 10 seconds, then take days to reg the name, if they actually do manage to reg it, then it takes 5 e-mails and 1 month to get your money back.

It's just not good enough.

I simply don't understand the logic. :???:

A while back, had a call from someone at 123 who was keen to straighten out my problems. Told me 123's current bad state was down to more than the EU land rush. Point is... they were acting like a business that were aware of problems but wanted to resolve them and move on. Now it's clear this isn't the case.

They can quickly post an offer in the control panel. How about a note to say they are having problems with their system but they've employed extra staff and will drop the premium rate number until it's all resolved.

No...they just make it almost impossible to contact them and hope everything will just go away.

Not only have I stopped using them - I've also pulled all my aff links. I can't send people to an outfit like this. Whilst this isn't a great deal of traffic - I guess some of my referals have also bought hosting.

Commercial suicide IMHO.

I decided to ignore all the bad pr they have here, and give them 1 more chance, I reg'd only 2 .co.uk domains last night, surprise surprise, 1 of them still isnt reg'd or in my control panel.

time to move

Never used them but I can certainly vouch for UKREG as a viable alternative.

Yup same problems with me. I have registered domains and been invoiced....and then lost the domain because 123 didnt register quickly enough. Although they seem to waste no time taking the money out of my account. Very very annoying

UK Reg

Done a few with UK Reg now. Had 1 that wouldn't register for some reason - but they didn't steal my money and I regged it elsewhere.

Otherwise, all good - showed in the whois straight away.
