When i spoke to the female at nominet about drops and is there a problem she said no problems and domains will drop as normal. So if she knew there was a problem why don't they just say and put something up on their website and save us all the hassle of phoning them up and checking etc.

From a purely selfish point of view, all that this delay does is reward the cheats that are using multiple tags and that pisses me off a lot more than what salary certain board members take.
yes but if nominet want to have the reputaion of honesty and doing things right then dont you think when a member/tag holder phones up support and spots there is something wrong and ask all you get it no everything is fine when you full well know there is a problem. 99% of the time nominet in my eyes are spot on and the staff do a great job day in day out but i wish they would just say yes we have a problem and we are looking into it.
Nominet's first line of support is exemplary. To be frank, I think they are the best support team I've ever encountered in any kind of business. Kudos to them. They could certainly teach the banks and utility companies a thing or two. I say this despite being a 'nay' voter on the issues to hand.
