Any Acorners gonna have a shot at the easyjet affiliate comp on A4U Haven't really got much time till the end of may but I might throw something together then to catch the last minute deals.

Won't be entering, seems like an easy (no pun intended) way for them to get affiliates to put in a lot of effort for not a great deals of reward. At a guess the holiday value is probably around £1,500 at the most, which is a nice bonus but not exactly a huge incentive.

Also, having a quick skim over the terms it says the domain must be newly registered, which rules out buying pretty much any decent domain. I would rather spend the time focussing on long term projects using quality domains.

All in my opinion of course.

Yep agreed I emailed the guy about the old domain thing as I picked one up here as part of a bundle that may be suitable. As long as it doesn't have any type of existing holiday site on it and its only been parked its OK use.

Very tempted to enter this competition, but you can always guarantee that atleast one member is going to do some black hat seo and win by a mile lol :/

Completely agree. The forum running a competition is a good idea on its own... but its just been kidnapped by a merchant for their own benefit.

I think it would be stupid for an affiliate to waste any time entering it... the potential to win a £1500 holiday is seriously outweighed by the fact that at the end of it you still own a site competing with a load of others in the same narrow area of travel (easyjet routes to Europe or Northern Africa).

I would love someone to try and give a clear explanation of what "no black hat seo allowed" means, and how it applies to competition entrants, or how its going to be policed :D
