Hi All,

I have been asked to come up with an "Acorn Domains Member Badge" - like to Nominet one in the forum logo, to show they are an AD member from their site.

Anyone have something to easily create one?

Many thanks

I can try and whip one up for you if you like, do you have any specs/ideas? I assume you mean utilising the AD acorn?

Just having a thought on this idea :

maybe a badge for each milestone reached...

yeah exactly...what you supposed to do when Nominet put a hammer through domain trading, next you'll be asking me to go and get a 9 till 5 job ;)

Whats post count got to do with anything?

It's the quickest and most decent measure of trust. A lot of posts should indicate most times long serving member with a rep to protect and thus transactions should be reasonably smooth. Not a perfect measure but not bad either.

And you've got nearly 2000 posts. Only kidding, great idea actually. More interesting than just one badge fits all.

That is in place already with the small badges we have, not so Acorn specific as the ones you have which are nicer, I just want to be sure I don't add something that makes long threads harder on the eyes.

Thanks for the input guys.

No it isn't - Most forum posts are just chat.

Don't you look at the join date?

Not a perfect measure but not bad either.

Its terrible, surely that's what the 'Domain Trader Rating' is for.

bloody hell that took me best part of 2 minutes to make...well me and Alien shall wear our badges with pride

i was going to have 1 acorn for 0-100 posts, 2 acorns for 100-500 posts and three acorns for 500+ posts but it just became a mash-up and added colours to the mix. anyone else have any input ?

I got my wires crossed as posted above.

Nice work for a 2 min job. Looking good.
I'd be happy with a couple of acorns. :)
