Any chance we could have a few more ads in the threads on acorn. They look great on taptalk and as the new threads are few and far between, they make nice distractions.

Sad that I keep getting excited by new topics only to then realise they are ads :)

Thanks for the suggestion, I will get on it!

Is there meant to be adverts in individual posts now for those signed in or is it a mistake?

You would hope that Caz was taking the piss rather than asking for more adverts. A call for more discussions to happen.

Not that the adverts bother me by the way.

I was genuinely asking for more ads, in taptalk that is. When you refresh and nothing's been added I always find the ads quite interesting and by clicking it's a way of supporting the forum in a way.

I have also been logging in via laptop too and yes the post ads are in the way a bit, but hey they're not going to cause me any harm.

I also like the adverts. Maybe ramp it up to 1 in every post?

What a really strange request!
Is this a new weird type of sponsored thread or something? :)

Has got me confused (doesn't take much!) and questioning the angle here!

haha next there will be conspiracy theories that it was planned for Caz to ask for more banners so its a "request" rather than a like it or lump it action.............oh wait ;)

Does it actually appear like that, so it looks like I've posted it? Unbelievable!

Ad-blocker works great :) Didn't even know about any of this until Adams screen shot.

If only there was a wife-blocker, my life would be complete :)

I had a request from an Exclusive member to see less ads, good news...it looks like I've got a working implementation for this. If you are an exclusive member you should not see this new ad in the first post. I should be able to extend this to the other ads.

Just need to time your posts from now on.
9/10 times you will be fine.

Might need to get in quick on this page :)

..its what they've grown up with, this younger gormless generation get bored easily so need mindless ads as a form of mental stimulation probably whilst sucking on an e-cig.

Tapatalk runs their own ads in the mobile app. The ads are from their network and are usually content based viral linkbaity articles. They show up in the app similar to how new threads are displayed.

Apparently there is a revshare for forum owners to earn on these clicks. Caz likes these articles and would like to see more of them.

Putting more Google Adsense ads on the forums is not what Caz means at all and has no carryover to the Tapatalk app at all. Think this is a case of crossed lines...
