Hi there guys,

Was wondering if I could get some advice on a .com.

So a domain I was after recently expired, went in to deletion and was caught by a large registrar. (I stupidly failed to place a backorder at that registrar so missed out on the auction).

The domain then went to it's new owner, who happens to be associated with the registrar in question - a big domain holder. I approached the new owner, agreed on a sale and the domain was pushed to my account - all appeared to be great.

A few days later, I check the whois and the domain is under a privacy registration with someone else's nameservers. The domain is still showing in my account but clearly it has somehow become disassociated with the actual domain.

It's been almost a week now, I've been on the phone every day to the hopeless support who keep on "escalating" the issue and claiming whois changes can take 24-48hrs, but it is still not resolved. The company I purchased the domain from haven't given me any answers either.

Any advice on what I should do beside take to twitter? How can I escalate the issue? Does ICANN play a role in such issues? Where do I stand if this is not resolved any time soon and what legal rights I have?

Thanks for any advice you can offer! Feel free to PM if you prefer.
