I'd welcome your thoughts on a new site that I have just launched - Affilipark. Basically, it allows you to create affiliate shops by selecting some categories and pointing a domain name at it.

The project initially started out as a closed tool for just myself to quickly create affiliate shops, but half way through development I realized that I could build a front end for it and open it up for anyone to use (and potentially earn a little more from it).

The feature set is relatively basic at the moment, as I was hoping to focus on it on being a quick and easy process for creating a shop - However, there are more features in the works (both for the shop creator, and the created shops themselves) that will be optional if a user wants more control over the end result.

I'd be interested in your feedback, thanks.

It seems good, just wondering how often feed is updated as one item has different price to the site when I had a quick look :)

I am never keen on users whos first post is to offer their own services with a link to their site ( http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/services-wanted/56718-prices-photography-website.html#post205904 )

Then return several months later to a few posts inside 24hrs then offering their new service. Just seems abit cynical to me :)

As for the site / product, I googled a few product snippets and there is a few sites displaying the same content. Such thin aff sites have been booted out of google, and this is happening more and more frequently.

IMHO it looks like a 2008 product being launched tail end of 2010 - whats in it to stop the above happening?

The feeds are pulled from the affiliate network every day - How often the merchants update their feeds is a different matter, and unfortunately one I can't control. :(

I can understand where you are coming from - I guess it comes down to being a long time lurker, then registering (to read the hidden forums) but continuing to lurk, and then only "contributing" when I have something to offer. It doesn't look the best, I suppose, but I'll try to get more involved elsewhere on the board!

The initial idea (and hence the name of the site) was to use it as a more useful alternative to traditional domain parking that just contained a bunch of links to external sites with some vague categories down the side containing more links. I leave these sites as soon as I land on them as they don't actually contain what I was expecting. The thought was, that if a user was presented with a site full of relevant products (to the domain name), that it might maintain their interest a little longer, and in turn, convert.

So, to begin with, I didn't consider the SERPs, but I am currently planning a feature that allows the creation of content pages on the sites, hopefully to combat this issue.
