Any gurus?

I'm considering dropping a voucher code section into one of my sites both as a coding exercise and also (hopefully) to pull in a little extra revenue. Is there any simply way to pull the data with categories rather than just the merchant names?

I could sort by merchant name, but when you have a larger merchant like an electrical retailer I'd probably want to break down to TV or Fridge.

Any suggestions?

Is the API data more detailed than the CSV file?

You might want to look into www.icodes.co.uk, although there is a charge.

Thanks, was looking at a coding exercise rather than an off the shelf solution.

It would be hard to pull it down into categories, I am not sure if the merchant metadeta has categories, if so you could just download the merchant metadata and use that! Then you might struggle with places like comet who sell fridges and tvs!

In terms of removing the code from the content, you can do that quite easily in php :) just string replace :)

OK, thanks, guess it might just be easier to group by merchant and encourage users to browse all codes?
