Alternatives to HeartInternet - now prices have doubled

I seem to be paying 13.98 for two years with Nominet domains. What cheaper and/or better alternatives are out there for purely domain registration?

Do you have a lot of domains? If so, then why not join Nominet? There's the initial joining cost and yearly membership fee to offset, but then it's trade price for everything AND you control everything, no 3rd party to screw things up.

If it's just a few, then I can't help as I've had membership for so long that I've no idea what the retail prices are, but there should be a raft of recommendations along soon.

Just taken all my domains from Heart to manage myself at Nominet.... cheaper and better.

It seems HI have decided to scalp people. I knew prices had gone up. But I'm unwilling to pay the fees they want. Off to nominet unless there is another suggestion?

I have mine with namecheap which i believe is £5.27 a year. Most of my domains are .com or .co but I think ive got just over 160 .co.uk..............havent actually looked into whether id be better off as a nominet member or not.
