On Thursday evening I registered some .uk domains with 123-reg. Usually they show up within 5 minutes of registation. But nothing.

I then emailed 123-reg at 8am on Friday. Heard nothing, so contacted them again with my tricket at 8pm on Friday night.

And still have heard nothing. It is now 1.15pm on Saturday.

Names are showing up on invoice statements and have been paid through Paypal.

Anyone else have problems with 123-reg with names not being registered.

This is really frustrating as they seem really poor in responding to customer support questions.

123-reg is you are reading this, things are getting even worse with you.

cheers

How about 17 weeks today (since the last and about 20 weeks since the first) and counting and still not registered them... Also around 16 weeks and counting where they havent fully refunded me. I am going to start a small claims case for my money as soon as they close and or delete my next support thing without refunding me or even answering me.

I think anyone in this boat should either visit their bank for a charge back and move to Daily Domain name registration and web hosting from Daily.co.uk, or file small claims court like i'm planning.

Update time: I have been in correspondence with Matt and he is being very pro-active in solving this issue. So thanks to Admin for suggesting Matt and thank you Matt for taking control of the issue.

yes 123-reg is sometime slow, but if you e-mail them they usually will get it sorted in slow good time

Slow good time ? Its that like never ?

I'm currently having problems explaining that given the number of domains in my accounts (1000s) that I have paid multiple times for some. They keep saying 'xxxx.co.uk is currently registered with 123, and we don't do refunds.', despite having paid 3 times. Another they give me the same speil when its not even registered to me, to another 123-reg user. So clearly they fucked mine up, but regged the name their system says I own to another user.

I think Nom and 123 have the same programmers :p

they do give refunds, quite a few times I cancelled my domain regs and refunds were given, I think once in 2006 I wasn't given a refund.... kind of felt like it's really depending on the attitude of the support staff on the day, try to be nice when you contact them :)

I have had this problem a few times with them over the years, more so recently. I just register the domain again for a second time a later (even though its listed in my 123 account and not registered at the registrar) and send the support an email. They always refund the second purchase.

The bad thing is - and its never happened yet - if you spot a domain that you know is going to go quick, it would be nice for it to go through straight away.

Since my last post on this thread I am currently trying out Daily.co.uk, cheaper and seem to provide better service, haven't used 123-reg for a while now, been using Heartinternet before and they're quite good too.
