Noticed their are a lot of BS sites on the www promising top 10 rank for XXX etc... BUT>>> Anyone on here do SEO...

Guy who is looking at some of my names for leasing asked if I did or knew anyone who did...

Please PM price and details of what you do for the money so I can explain it to the guy... (don't want to look a pilchard when asked what is done for the money ...

What has him miffed essentially, is the fact that when his domain (generic for his industry) is punched in google, everyone (competition) but his site comes up in the returns...

I dabble in SEO, but not confident enough to charge anyone.

I'm a member at a great forum www.davidcastle.org/BB/ the bloke that runs it really seems to know his stuff and is very, very helpful.

Don't every believe anyone that says they can guarantee a position, they can't its impossible. Depending on his generic domain, with fairly simple SEO he should be able to kill any opposition for his domain name and that search term.

Just got off the phone, the guy has gone and ordered with one of the 'guaranteed top 10' BS...

Told me he will charge them back if they don't perform...

I'll keep the contacts in case I get asked again and just push on the info...

surely you can "get" them guys

get a contract that says "this domain" in "google" with this "keyword" - first page or money back?

i assume they wont sign anything like that?

I think that that is the point of these contracts.

They don't actually have to do anything at all except perhaps submit the domain to a few search engines.

A few weeks later they show you're in bb123-5s3search.co.nz and say google is just a matter of time.

Not everyone will spend the time trying to get a refund, and will just follow the BS.

And, make sure the keyword is one unique to the company, so Google has only one choice - no chance of a refund.

Easy money - rip off the uninitiated.
