Anyone tried Woocommerce

Has anyone used woothemes woocommerce plugin for the wordpress before, looks pretty nifty in the demo.

I just tried out the demo a couple of days ago too - I'm going to start a build in the next few days.

Whatever you do don't bother with (shopp) wp e-commerce plug in .. I paid for the developer license and for want of a better word - it sucks!

I'll post and let you know if I run into any headaches!

Yeah I have used it and really like - takes about an hour to get set up if you have your merchant account etc ready.

Its really simple.

The only thing I dont really like is it seems to run slow when viewing orders etc.

I had a full ecommerce site running through the summer (it didn't work out) however I built it in Woocommerce.

Its all very simple and works very well.

It's not a fully blown custom system, so you do find yourself working around things a little - but for the money you won't get anything as simple or as well sorted as that. Highly recommended.

If you know Wordpress then you shouldnt have any issues, if you do have trouble there are loads of support forums etc out there.

Does this support affiliate products - or are we just talking about D2C?

You can list affiliate products, have photos and custom descriptions - then on the BUY NOW button, you can add an affiliate link.

Sounds interesting - and just the type of thing I've recently been searching for!
