Anyone have a .org domain in use for a business? :)

They seem to be a decent alternative to .com and with an excellent reputation. Although aimed at non-profit, there seems to be many for-profit sites on .org.

although I don't develop domains. .org as a gtld has always had a decent standing as a domain extension. It's best used or brought for an investment or development where the subject matter is related to a public service or even just a general information subject with an acceptable expansion into commercial content.

The use of .org.uk (for just about anything) actually really quite shocked me when I first became a member of Acorn. But, then again so did a lot of other things about the UK name space

I would always say it's much better to go with the .com or .co.uk.

Rgds

Indeed I agree with you in regard to .com but, try to register something even fractionally decent in .com is a hard task these days. On the whole the Global market dosen't really go for the long tail descriptives that the .co.uk market has picked up on. I would certainly look at the .org as a preference to say the .net which still has a strong "network" (technical association)
