According to Dow Jones, Apple is planning to launch a netbook computer with a touch screen monitor as early as the second half of this year.

I would just hold them for now (don't park them) and see what happens.

I own a number of "netbook" domains and netbooks have been quoted to become extremely popular in the next couple of years.

However, there have been a few threads lately in various domain forums about the fact that the term "netbook(s)" is trademarked. I personally am just going to watch this space because if they become that popular then the term will be used generically like "laptop(s)"

You would probably be better off waiting until touchscreen netbooks are launched and then see if "touchscreen netbook" becomes a searched for phrase. Gut feeling is though that search volumes won't be huge because people are lazy when it comes to typing and will just search "Apple netbook".

I have touchscreenlaptops.co.uk and it gets a lot of traffic from the US and Canada for some reason, clicks pay good too so they're probably worth putting up minisites on.

Yeah I have a few netbook domains too and Id agree that its a case of sitting on them for now and seeing what happens with the whole trademark thing.

Save the Netbooks campaign fights the impending trademark threat has some good info about it all.

At the moment the value is fairly minimal, as it may be a trademark and the term may not catch on to the extent of say laptops.

I do think touchscreens will be an increasing market though - I do have touchscreenlaptops.org.uk for sale if anyone fancies making a decent offer
