Hmm ,i am puzzled.athens.co.uk showed as owned by
a particular owner and now I see that instead of
it expiring it has been renewed and has a new owner.
Regulars will know the new owner and also know that he
does not usually use UK2 as a host. What happened ?

**I WAS WRONG ** it was owned by same guy ,but he obviously bought it out of suspension.Pity I was hoping he was letting all his domains expire.

Even though you were wrong in this case, it is possible to approach the owner of a Suspended domain name, persuade them to get it unsuspended at Nominet and transferred to you. Seen it happen quite a few times when the name never quite makes it to the expected "drop date".

In fact, I think Nominet will even renew-and-unsuspend at the same time if you pay the renewal fee and the transfer docs are in order (not 100% sure about this, though)
