The biggest UK ebay sellers.....

Disappeared off of the face of the earth yesterday, rumoured to be in receivership.

Sure you've all heard of them!

Yep, they have been dropping items on eBay for a long time now. I use to buy a significant amount of products off them as it was cheaper for my business than buying through distributors or China directly. The sheer amount of orders they had to process was incredible, and on the whole, they were ok to deal with, providing you didn't have a problem or needed support.

Turnover £19.7M Debt to Capital 86.3%

They lost their Royal Mail business account a few weeks ago and moved to MyHermes.... sales slumped accordingly.

The rumour is that Royal Mail is pursuing a fraud prosecution, the figure is muted at a cool £15m.

There have always been debates about how they can sell so cheap. We may soon find out the answer.

There is a huge opportunity for somebody with a lot of capital and the ability to move quickly to get the market for batteries on ebay sewn up right now... just before xmas, when kids get lots of toys.

Batteries were their biggest lines, cheapest online for Duracell I think.

It isn't a surprise to be honest, there are a significant number of sellers on eBay that present a company front, but behind the scenes are squireling money away in all directions. I suspect HMRC are investigating them, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have a significant number of debtors.

We [used to] buy all of our padded mailing enveloped from them. Cheap as chips.

We used to as well. A couple of years back we go an Office Depot account and their branded bubble bag envelopes are cheaper if you really haggle with them on price.

Somebody directed me to an invite/referral only seller of packaging today where I paid just £35 including VAT and delivery for 1000 MailLite A/000.

So basically £3.50 a box delivered.

Best price I've ever seen, I was previously purchasing from SoundWholesale on ebay and remained loyal to them due to a great service but people I know are reporting that they are refusing to give VAT invoices when requested

If you still buy packaging and need a new supplier then give me a PM and I'll give you the name of the site (and 'refer' you).
