I can honestly say i dont like it. i think the background and the gifs is going to put alot of people of.

The background is making my eyes bleed. Is it just temporary?

morning :) of course :) .. I have just asked @Admin to remove it :)

.. also, always wanted to test this option - this has thought us that we need to improve the theme so it allows this functionality, if we wish to use background for short advertising campaigns (paid, or supporting our members - I am always happy to help all our members to promote your services) :)

Background advertising only works under certain variables and actual good layouts designed to cater for it, lots of things to consider on a user generated platform, such as accidental click areas which force users to an advertiser when trying to navigate else where, view point layouts or overrides etc. Forums typically not the right platform for background, or margin surround layouts.

It can be done, but normally its a case of surrounding the advertising around a narrower container and actually making it look cosmetically part of the page, not just throwing a background image up and hope for the best lol. This theme isn't designed for that purpose

Advertising is to attract and convert while not hindering the user base lol, I'm not sure what you've achieved is the right kind of engagement

.. the 1st place I remember who did it really great were gfy.com .. their theme is fully prepared for this. .. just see this space used very rarely - was much more active previously when the owner was younger (I suppose it is all about the energy the owner and sales managers can divert into selling advertising)..
