Be Aware of These Jokers

To cut a long story short I got a call from an seo scam artist today promising a natural front page for any position within Google within 24 hours.

Here is a full blog post about Get Me First Ltd.

I urge you to pass the word around via Twitter, links etc as no doubt they will successfully drain money from a few companies.

Oh, and I would love for someone to call these jokers, say you are calling him back regarding a missed call from Google and record the conversation!

I my day job we get faxes every day - "First page of google in 24/48 hours"

Yeah, and probably the same companies who have not got a clue what buying a good generic keyword name could do for their business and serps ranking, rather than paying scammers ludicrous amounts for nothing

Ah, it's a telesales from home company. The guy in the blog has a phone number in Motherwell, so probably doesn't know what the hell the company is doing down in Manchester.

I got a call from someone from 'Infoserve' - sounded like a similar thing.

Them: "We've only got one spot left for 'london furniture' and can get you top of Google in under 24 hours"

Me: I don't advertise in paid directories

Them: "May I ask why"

Me: I don't go in directories without any SEO benefit

Them: We can send you thousands of visitors through one of the biggest directories in the UK

Me: I don't want to advertise in your little directory with a sponsored link do you not understand

Them: Blah blah we are the biggest directory...<hang up pissed off>

I think what they are doing is setting up Adwords campaigns...

Your very own 'Sponsored Link' directly to your business with your existing phone number

- so no doubt easily on Page 1 of Google with a big CPC...
