I may be out of touch saying this, but having an XXX extension will do more harm than good. Its going to be easier for ISPs, Countries like China and Middle-east and parental guards to simply block all domains with that extension.

An extension (pardon the pun) would say to me that they did not hit targets.. buy hey I am cynical.
