Has anybody here bought business cards online? Any recommendations?

Cheers
Stephen.

Ive had some printed at my local printers and at Viking both lots where crap TBH.

M$ office 2007 comes with some nice templates + you can download lots of additional templates for free.. will probs give that a try some time.

Anyone recommend the best sort of grade paper I would need?

thick as possible.

when I print "proper" cards with a printer they use 350 gsm and upwards "ivory board"

but it probably won't go through your printer!

or else use some fancy stuff that you think you can get away with.

VistaPrint is very, very, very good!

e.g.

5,000 business cards, full colour printing both sides, glossy finish, upload your own images, get proof copies sent via email, have them help you design &/or review the card design for free - £120ish and delivered within a couple of days! :)

In my book that's good service and a bargain! ;)

Sneezy.

I'll vouch for Vistaprint too.

Very, very cheap but good quality too.

FIVE THOUSAND? 5 THOUSAND? - How the F# are you going to get through 5,000 business cards?

How much for 50?

If you only get single sided printing it gets even cheaper.

I got 5k in gloss finish for £60.00

I bought several reams of paper in 1998 from viking, I'm still getting through them. Although at a faster pace now since printing out five pieces for each bloody domain transfer. Dot com transfer is much better but can see how it's open to abuse.
