Wisdom of the wise sought...

When buying a recently expired 'goog PR' domain, given the fact that on the next update PR could change / be lost, what would be your criteria on price for say PR5?

How long have you realistically got to slam up a site so you don't loose ranking?

Input appreciated...

IMHO - only consider page rank when buying a website or using the PR to redirect to a different website. pr holds little or no value in domain sales. I have plenty of pr-5 domains that get less than 30 uv's a day... so look at other factors (traffic) before considering pr.

NB: pagerank can be scammed - always check for backlinks!

usually when google re-indexes the site, the pr will go and the site will be sandboxed... "however no hard fast rule here" i've had sites keep or increase in pr..

I picked up a PR4 domain with around 12 backlinks. Parked it and now disappeared from google altogether.:(
