Just found out that Charlton Heston passed away on Saturday night, what a loss, me and my grandfather used to love watching his movies. thoughts and condolonces go out his family, friends and all that new him.

It's a shame as he spoke his mind and was a character. Although I heard he died from Alzheimer's which doesn't look like a nice way to go.

If ever there was an example to take guns off people in the states, he was it. He was legally aloud to own a gun and have Alzheimer's.

Still his movies will be shown again and again

no it is a horrible way to go, my mother passed away with alzheimer's and it is soul destroying watching a loved one lose her dignity,it started when my mam used to talk to a statue of a dog that was near the fire place and we had tests and it came back she had it,my dad tried his hardest to keep my mum at the family home but she was moving around the house all night and it got my dad down, when she moved to a home she quickly detereated and passed away the week i didn't visit, the only time i didn't visit in two years and still feel responsible for.

It's a terrible disease. My wifes nan has early stages of it. I would rather get hit by lorry than have it.

He may have been a great actor but in reality he was bonking mad. If he could of got away with it, he would have blasted the shit out of anyone he didn't like ringing his doorbell. "as he believed it was in the constitution"

A sad loss for the gun lobby but a true gain for the sane.

My wifes nan
Forgive me, but does nan mean "gran?" The only nan I know is full of meat and comes with salad and sauce. (sounds a bit like my gran  )

alzheimer's:
I lost someone very close to me with this. I just can't remember where I put her.

In all honesty I did. But I tend to remember her for all the good times, not the end result.
