I need some direct cheap single site hosting. Any suggestions? Oh yeah there must be one click installs for wordpress and IP must by UK.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the offer Aaron - my partner wants to make sure everything is controlled by us though. Would be a nice little saving otherwise!

I have a reseller package with Zen but need multiple IPs!

I can host one too if you are looking for more than 1.
cPanel with fantastico on a UK server.

Dream-Hosting.co.uk

£10 a year up to 5 websites .

Thanks for the offer mate.

Incidently if anyo of you guys need hosting I can sort too.

Zen should allow you to rent IPs off them to add to accounts on your reseller? I'm not with them and have only bought one dedicated IP for my reseller from my host, but may work out cheaper for you.

If you want multiple IPs you need to have a good reason (that's not SEO), because most hosts won't just give you them if you ask.

IP's need RIPE justification, given that the top level IPv4 pool is as good as exhausted, you'll need a good reason.

Thanks everyone for your suggesitons. I tiook wizards's advice in the end and went for Dream-Hosting... WIll let you know how I get on.

Dream-Hosting are a good host have a few sites with them never had a problem .

Plus krystal hosting is really good if you want to host more domains .

hmm... I've always used m6.net.

I guess for a UK site I really should be using UK hosting!

Hmm, don't SSL certificates require a dedicated IP? Could say you want to buy one from somewhere but also need a dedicated IP for it to work :)

I just saw this post mate, could you explain what this means?!!

It means that we've run out of IP addresses, they've all been handed out and there's no new ones left to hand out to anyone else. Justification for IP addresses will be checked in a lot more detail, simply asking for an IP address is unlikely to result in allocation of an address.

Google on IPv6 to see background to the issue and a solution (that many providers have yet to implement), this site is also interesting http://www.ipv4depletion.com/ as are the forums where the trade guys hang out or there's always wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv4_address_exhaustion

OK, that isn't something I was aware of. Im surprised they limited them n the first place to be honest.

Thanks Aaron, I just signed up for a hosting account with EZPZ - 48 quid for 3 years with the discount code - SAVE10.

You need to remember that IPv4 has been about far longer than most people are aware of, to many the Internet is a new thing, I was an Internet user in the 1980's.

When IPv4 was put in place an advanced company may have had 1 or 2 computers for their whole organisation, most people / companies had no idea what a computer was so a 32bit address was far more than was required at the time and quite forward thinking in my opinion.

When I was at school we had 2 computers and 1 teletype connected to the local college for the whole school and we were an advanced school :)
