Anyone else watching the live rescue? This'll go down in history alongside Apollo 13 I suspect.

That presenter on the BEEB is a knob! Just said to his BBC colleague who was shivering a little -

"I know you're cold, but that's the way it is."

Also called a guy in the studio David instead of Daniel.

Where did they find him?

That's just a few 'minor' mistakes!

He might be feeling 'down' and in a 'tight spot'. I suspect everyone on site has been 'shafted', so they could probably could do with a 'lift'! :p

That guy is a complete plum!

Came back from a clip of the other guy who was talking to the father of a couple of the miners down there. "That was Mr Avalos who was the father ..... is the father of two of the miners."

At least look interested in what your colleague is saying!

They should have got Davina McCall for eviction night.

It would've made much better TV if there'd been no contact with the miners from the beginning and when they emerged later today everyone at the site was dressed in Planet of the Ape costumes :)

But at least those two BBC reporters are speaking fluent Spanish to the locals. Pretty good coverage when the first one came out and hats off to the guys who actually went down there. No chance would you catch me going down there.

That first rescuer is a complete hero. He must have gonads of titanium. Just another example of human selflessness in the face of terrible danger - iconic - as is the whole operation. Hats off to the Chilean authorities who have shown great skill and compassion.

I Like that, cruel but good ;)

I wonder how long they have to go with shades? Must be quite a transition for the body to suddenly see the light after 70 days in a mine.

I think they'll keep them on for a couple of weeks. As a Scot, I basing this on the length of time I have to keep sunglasses on when going to Portugal.

Probably until Oakley ask for them back.

Apparently they're being flown straight to anfield.
They're advising Roy Hodgson on how to get out of a deep hole before xmas.
