I came across this interesting article on why the Chinese love number URLs. Before I read it I just thought they were totally crazy but now it all makes sense.

And it works! I looked at the number system and made up a sentence 519 = I want Alcohol
Went to 519.com and there was an online shop selling booze!

1 means “want,” 2 means “love,” 4 means “dead” or “world” or “is,” 5 means “I,” 7 means “wife” or “eat,” 8 means “get rich” or “not,” and 9 means “long time” or “alcohol.”
