Closing "for sale" and "wanted" threads

There have been a few newbies that have been digging very deep into your archives in the hope that their domains will still be of interest.....several months later.

Would it be possible if the OP of a thread, wanting to buy or sell a domain, could close a thread - much the same as a poster can edit his/her posts.

One newbie in particular, who has since apologiesd, delved into quite a few old threads to advertise his domains.

Or simply have an automatic e-mail to every OP of a thread in the "for sale" or "wanted" forums, warning them that their thread will be closed after a given length of inactivity.

Your thoughts please Admin's/Mod's.
