Thanks for replying :-)

Is that because adult domains in general are worthless, or because you can't see much worth in VR adult names?

Apart from vrporn.co.uk I can't see what else could be much better than some of the names above.. In keyword terms anyway.

We all live and learn, if everyone else thinks the same I'll let them expire :-(

VRMistress may have some potential once VR and Teledildonics kick off, but could be some time. There were talk of some on modifying k'nect or whatever its called (not a console gamer) so your movements were represented on screen, via the VR avatar, so potential there too. Could end up no where though.

VR which are geo services, or which are UK specific may work, but anything global I don't think will.

Porn is a global business, you're not going to buy a CCTLD, perhaps an affiliate would, but you are looking low xxx max.

Yeah I think your completely right, the killer really is that it's a global business, so the .co.uk part is what makes them worthless.

Note to self, if it's global, don't bother unless you can get the .com :-(

I've found adult webmasters to be more difficult to sell to than any other end-user group. Offers rarely exceed $20 per domain. .COM, .XXX, .WEBCAM, ccTLDs – I've tried them all ... including plenty of category-killing single terms. While some domains did sell for mid $xxx upwards, the niche just isn't worth my time overall. So I'm liquidating my remaining adult domains and don't plan to stock inventory for adult entertainment in the future.

I'd recommend you give this industry a pass, purely for financial reasons. ccTLDs are especially unlikely to appeal to these guys, since they're mostly aiming for the biggest audience possible. Years ago, when EMDs yielded quicker rankings in SERPs and when adult content hadn't all been pirated and offered elsewhere for free, margins were probably higher for adult webmasters. These days they tend to be skinflints because they're barely scraping by.

Not quite the reason we (I worked, produced and owned various sites in porn) don't buy domains, the reason we don't buy them is because ANY combination of words will work, we pay up to 50% out in commission, so we don't need search engine traffic. Often pages outside the paywall aren't even indexable due to heavy graphics.

We can literally put a list of related to our niche words in a hat, pick out any 3 and have the site name, above that there is a the company name, but those domains are the same ones every other business wants so not adult specific.
