Without owning comparedeals.com, if someone offered me over £500 for compare-deals.com I would probably take it. It's not a specific domain and it's hypenated, so it's not high value IMO.

I've recieved two emails, one from an investment company and another from an individual both interested in purchasing the domain from me. So fingers crossed. However if nothing comes from it, then I'm going to develop the site and see what comes from it.

The non-hyphenated is quite valuable however, probably in the early to mid thousands.

I would hope for an offer frrom one of them, i wouldn't develop a hyphen domain without owning the non hyphen (in which case you wouldn't develop the hyphen domain anyway!), ask anyone who has developed a hyphened domain and run an established website on it and they will tell you the same.
