Thanks Edwin. That just seems to be the accreditation with ICANN.

You have an agreement with Verisign (the Registry) to consider also.

The back-end is a another cost to factor, are their any turnkey solutions?

Just wondering if anyone has done it before and what the tally was.

It makes being a .uk registrar all the more appealing - Low cost entry.

The logicboxes system is the one used by Directi (ResellerClub), some love it many hate it

What are the costs for becoming a .uk registrar?

£400-£500 mark. Plus your time and whatever back-end systems you build or outsource.

To make a decent stab at being an ICANN accredited registrar you'd want to be starting with at least a quarter of a million quid - based on being a consumer facing company. If you were just thinking of doing it just to house your own portfolio it wouldn't be worth it (certainly if you were starting from scratch).

It wouldn't be consumer facing, just private use. More thought and maybe next year.

Thanks guys.
