Hello all,

I'm still very new to web sites and hosting companies but do think i'm paying well over the odds for what i get.

I have about 70 domains and 8 are hosted by lycos the others aren't used just registered.

At present i pay around £90 per month for hosting and each domain is a seperate bill, if you know what i mean?

What i was wondering is how can i find a host where i can change to easily and get all my sites hosted on one pqackage with one bill?

Plus i hate lycos they take ages to reply, they charge to much, my payments always fail my sites are always locked (allways at weekends when i can't get in touch with them) they charge a fortune for phone calls!!!

Anyone any advice, please remember i am a novice so don't know the ins and outs of this stuff. Therefor please explain in laymans terms :)

does it cost to change hosts? will i lose any google ranking? will search engines still find me?

Life was easier when i dug holes for a living.

Any help much appreciated.

You need to find a reseller account, for example I used Fasthosts which is £50+vat per month for unlimited domains. There are much cheaper reseller hosting packages available so shop around.

At present you are paying too much. It shouldn't cost anything to move, your ranking should not be affected.

Great thanks a lot for that.

i'll have a look around for a good deal.

Much appreciated.

I don't use any British hosting anymore. The prices are too high for what you are getting. I use a host in the USA, it is much cheaper and you get more for your money, but you have to remember the time difference for support etc. occasionally.

Alternatively, hop across the channel to find cheaper hosting. Bare in mind the language barrier though.

All in all, hosting a website in the UK is expensive!

Agreed but hosting in the UK can be of some aid if rankings are important in google.co.uk, US hosting/reseller accounts are by far cheaper though.

aplayer....

i'll give you a reseller account for £10 per month ( no VAT )

unlimited domains
as for space .. new drives are getting added to the servers all the time
so space would be virtually unmetered ( but there are restrictions ie no copyrighted software storage etc )

virtually unmetered bandwidth
& the usual yada yada yada lol
