Data Feed Studio

Anyone using Data Feed Studio ?, I have been playing with the "Free" version and got 1 site working with 2 feeds but i'm buggered if i can get another site working off of the first site feeds, The "Free" version allows 2 feeds / 2 sites

I'm using hostgator if that makes any difference, been trying to get this working all night = No sleep and very pee'd off now, Anyone got idiot proof instructions on setting up a second site ?

DS support is excellent. The developer, Martin, has always answered any queries that I have had within 24 hours.

Post your problem at the DS forum and you will get a response from the developer (or another DS user) within a few hours typically.

I've used Datafeedstudio for a long time now, and Martin is great with support queries. I've never tried to run different sites from the one database, but it is possible. Martin talked me through the process last year, but I never got around to trying it. You will likely need root access which hostgator will not provide on a shared hosting plan.

For good reason, but what is it you need to do as root? Seems a bit drastic thats all.

I think it was something to do with symlink, which required root.
I don't think that is the case now as DFS has been upgraded several times since I last used it, and sites no longer need to reside on the same server.
