...driving past traffic queing for fuel when you've got a brimmed tankful! ;-)

I'm feeling pretty smug as well because I don't have a car :)

That will change very quickly though if everything starts getting even more expensive as a result!

Baaaaa! Follow the sheep. Must fill up. Baaa! Must fill up...

Ridiculous behaviour from some - causing panic where none required. I'll walk first before queuing! ;)

They'll all just look like prats next week when their tank is still full, the forecourts are empty and the price drops!

There was nothng wrong with the advice. It's just that people are interently stupid, lazy, or both. Baaaa!

I'll bet that half of those queing only use about a tenner's worth a week, but just because they think it's going to be in short supply they feel the need to fill up.

I was in a local Spar shop that has a petrol station attatched and someone was pleading with the owner to let them get some fuel - apparently they hold some unleaded back for the local police. In the end the owner must've given in because he (the owner) was putting some fuel in the guys car when we were leaving.

It's come to something when people are virtually begging - it's like Mad Max out there!

I've seen a couple of posts on Facebook from friends of friends 'panic buying' £15 or £20 of petrol :-?

Wonder how much it would take to persuade David Cameron to say there's a shortage of domain names?

Unite union must be sitting there having a very quiet snigger.

They have the result they wanted without a driver even having to lose a days wage.

Result!

.

I'm probably wrong but it crossed my mind that the scare-mongering could be a scam to raise revenue.

Apparently there are around 30 million cars on the road in the UK. If the average driver usually has lets say a quarter of a tank at roughly £20.
Think how much extra money goes into the government coffers when everyone suddenly drives around with a full tank worth £80 !

I think it's just the government preparing for a strike, best to have everyone filling up while supplies are coming to the pumps than when the pumps won't be replenished, it's a kind of storage facility.

Wonder if the head of the drivers' union has been to no 10 for his tea recently?

Definition of smug is driving past the queues and heading straight for the unused commercial pumps at the back and filling the van up there :D

Lovely! Hope you let a couple of quids worth splash on the floor when you were brimming it?

Found an empty petrol can in the back yard. Quick, down to the station to fill it up! :)

Walked back home past the supermarket petrol station today as normal (big 6laner). 2 days ago full and another 30cars queuing. Today. empty. and 3p cheaper.
