displaying a recordset content

I'm trying to add a quick link to the latest threads from a forum...trouble is when they use code in the post this stuffs up my page with the link on as it includes <p> <td> </a> etc

besides using <textarea> is there any way to prevent the code showing eg:

whats the TAGs for code wrap?

not as easy as first thought - you can use <pre> but i used a replace instead

next question does anyone know how to auotmatically break long strings to wrap eg

in a text field?
