hasnt been running since the current owners too control of it to be fair, I kept checking in and seeing what they were doing with it. Like the fact they jumped into XF2 upgrade as a positive step forward, but seemed to fall short of good execution and as Rob says then suddenly tried to step into Crypto discussion for the last week or so.
It was a dead man walking when Dicker had it, the value in that sale is the mailing list but that depends if its a cleansed list or just a built up database of years of being on vbulletin, plus domainers are not the most receptive of folk to promotional mails are they

You would have to be really good at reputation management to revive that place.

just got this email:
DNForum.com is currently for sale along with it's database of 535,000 Domainers. Many of the Domainers have more than 10-10000 domains. Lots of potential business for the right company. If interested email [email protected] with an offer or any questions you may have. Only offers received through the email will be considered. This will be a fast, smooth escrow.com transaction.

They've opened the forum up again today by the looks of things, thats what's also written in their announcements : https://www.dnforum.com/threads/dnforum-com-is-for-sale.556710/
Nice domain to have authority and rankings wise I guess but the baggage that comes with it......would have to be a killer sales price to tempt someone I think. Would be interesting to see the traffic stats though.

lol wishful thinking
The owner is a business partner of Adam Dicker, he co-owns a few domains with him so he was hardly the right person to try and revive that place... if people lost trust in Dicker they were hardly going to suddenly put faith in somebody who publicly backed him and still has a business relationship with him.
Dicker also used to lie about the traffic stats to sell advertising (60 million uniques I think he said, which would put it in the top 100 most visited websites in the world), so don't be surprised if the membership numbers are also artificially inflated.

I would steer clear if I were you. The email list is probably spam material as well. No real value there.

I've been a member since 2004, platinum member and I had given up on the site, but I just looked and I managed to reset my password and I have an account!
