Do Domain Extensions Still Matter for SEO in 2025?

Some say a .com still holds the crown, others claim Google doesn't care. What's your take?

Have you seen certain extensions perform better (or worse) in real SEO battles?

Users care .. We all have this belief that, even though, an expensive brand doesn't guarantee the best quality > cheap looking product (poor choice of a domain) will almost always mean = bad quality and that can't be trusted to serve well.

and, probably, while people can tell a difference of a spectacular domain compared to a poor one > there will be business for all! .. and then there are also seo domains, and that is a totall upside-down kingdom from a different universe

.. reminds me of American Gods.. many technologies are trying to take down the old internet God - domain names

facebook pages tried this, apps thought they had a chance, blockchain domains seem to have given up on web2 and are battling among each other at the web3 worlds, Alexa and Siri also were believed to have a chance..

.. I don't think ai can do this > they still cite domains
