Domain age

Could a domain name have value based purely on its age? I have some eight year old domains, they're utter crap, not sure why I didn't register better names in the year 2000... but good for search engines?

More sites with age and history in google that have built up trust over time that have extra value. I dont think domains on there own have value as they are old. If they are ill be rich, ive got a load of crap from 2000 also
Dont know why i keep renewing them.

That makes sense, apart from renewing the crap, that doesn't make sense!

For .uk it would not possible surely

To do that would mean google would be storing the registrant and registration date of a domain, plus dns etc for their other bits and bobs. I cant see a company as upstanding as google breaking nom's T&Cs !
