I agree. I think the buyer got a good deal to be honest. I'll probably regret not bidding more a few years from now. My original cap was £2888 but got caught up in the whole auction fever thingy and ended up taking it to £3780 :mrgreen:

There is a little inconsistency with e-mail outbid notifications (I'm currently working to fix it), but everything else seems to be going as it should ;-)

Now -- come and give your portfolio some cashflow, post a good domain for an auction.

I put in proxy bid of substantially higher than the amount it went for. If Denys had been acting with a conflict if interest as he owned the auction site, he could have bid it up to that knowing what bid I put in.

As it was, Denys was acting in his own personal interests in obtaining the name personal use and not bidding up the price.

So I am 100% happy with how it went and that everyone acted 100% independently.

Just to add that Denys was looking into changing this a little in the future so that the owner puts in a reserve rather than a bid, which I think is a good idea.
