Not sure if this is the best place to post this but.............

submitted iautographs/co/uk to it, told wasn't 'premium quality'

ok fair enough

but then seen surprizes/co/uk listed! Wrong spelling, how can that be premium quality?????

Hello Justin, someone put a prebid for surprizes.co.uk

Thanks, Darren.

I think the threshold has risen a bit recently, the last domain I had on there was HollywoodHotel which sold for £30. Everything I've submitted since has been rejected and it seems that the majority of the auctions are finishing above £100 now.

I think its just for his customers now, as I submitted a name last night that had pre-bid by domainlore should of made auction, but was told not premium quality and it was him that listed it :D

As i said, i think its just for his customers now ;)

If I submit a name there, what fees will I incur if it's accepted? A percentage of the sale price?

Domainlore works very well but you have to question who is making the call on whether a domain is appropriate quality. I've offered domains in the past couple of weeks which have been rejected for innappropriate quality which have then sold here for £xxx whilst Domainlore is listing bizzare 3 word combos.

Product generics are surely better than these 1-in-a-million brandables?

people say theres a list of dropping domains on the site, that you can bid on etc.
where?
just joined up and cant see anything in relation to this or lists

just seen it, thanks bud
came back to edit, you're 'too quick' as usual :D

Just to add: You can bid for them, but unless they are caught by somene using the sister domain catching service, or submitted by the new owner, your bids might not be paid attention to. The .co.uk community is quite small though I suppose, so if the bids are high enough, that might filter through to the new owner.

If you put serious bids in people like Gold Frog who use their own system catch and list, and I'm guessing many others if they have nothing better see the advance bids as easy pennies :)

I'm not sure if DL being as picky as they are isn't going to hurt their future sales.

Domainers who submit names for consideration are also potential bidders on the site. If DL constantly reject all but the greatest names (or names that don't come from their preferred sellers) then logic says a lot of people will lose interest in the site.

I know from other threads there's been some non-payer problems at DL. Could this be in part due to some domainers getting constantly knocked back all the time and eventually giving up on DL as a venue to trade at? Are domainers expecting a venue where they are able to buy & sell and eventually start to dislike the feeling that they are expected to only use the site as a buyer only?

There are relatively few actual auctions happening on DL so being too picky and pi$$ing too many people off doesn't seem a good long term plan to me for anyone. It takes more than one willing bidder to make an auction work. If willing and able buyers become scarcer and sellers start seeing poor prices as a result then where will DL go in future?
