When you look around at the big players marketplaces and landing pages they seem to be filled with all sorts of trust waffle and mindless stats to assuage the "poor" "dumb" buyer to justify their existence and large commissions. Wind the clock back 5 years people used to sell domains regularly with not even a landing page. Serious buyers know how to make contact.

I think its actually detrimental to sales this new standard being imposed but new domainers probably don't even realize the extent to which they are being manipulated into thinking its just a numbers game.

Domaining has always been “just a numbers game” IMO. Just like any sales based hustle.

I think the problem is that 'relatively', only a few domains have any definite value, but imo the way modern domaining is evolving we're led to believe everything has value.
