Bit of a more unusual request but I have a portfolio of close to 100 domains and looking for payment in Virgin AirMiles - and looking for 15,000-20,000

So if you fly regularly and have amassed air miles you are not intending to use and would consider exchanging for a domain or two then drop me a PM

Cheers

You probably already knew this, but just in case... you can also BUY air miles (30,000 a year is the limit). For example, 15,000 miles currently costs £240. Other people can also gift miles they buy to you... So it may be just as easy to sell a couple of names and buy the missing miles rather than try and put together the deal you're trying to close.

Cheers Edwin - yes knew that.

Posted on the long shot people here were sitting on a ton of miles and were not planning on using them anytime soon....so could exchange and do a win-win deal (and reach my target) rather than pay out the £240 in actual cash.....

You can't actually give virgin airmiles from your own stash though unfortunately.

You can, but you have to pay a fee for the privilege (note: I'm sure that changed fairly recently, as I remember giving miles to my wife last year and I can't imagine that I paid to do so).

With virgin? Are you certain as I called their call centre up in May to do this very thing and was told point blank that the transfer of airmiles from one person to another was against their terms and conditions.

They have a button to click when you're logged into your Airmiles account, called "Transfer". But as I say, they levy a fee on it based on the number of miles you're transferring (and that fee's the part I suspect is relatively new).
